In the heart of Liberty City sits Slice's Classic Cutz, owned by my uncle Royzell “Slice” Johnson who has been cutting hair for over 30 years. I spent time in the shop from January to August 2018, capturing the essence of the shop: the culture, the community, the camaraderie.

​This project shows the world that there are hard working entrepreneurs in Liberty City. While looking through this book, I want you to see the impact Slice's Classic Cutz has on individuals from all walks of life — and the unwavering bond between barber and client.
